A Boing Boing Digest

Boing Boing is on the sidebar over there, but they are on a roll today. There's a link to Terry Zwigoff talking about pre-1933 music, before mass communication homogenized music and took it out of the hands (and voices) of everyday people. There was a mass UFO sighting by Mexican Air Force pilots this week. And, an economist shows how the recording industry twists the numbers to make it look like sales are down, when in fact profits are up. Soundscan says they are selling more, while the RIAA says they are shipping fewer. That sounds like a higher profit margin to me!
